You will join the Structured Finance Africa team, focusing on origination, arrangement, execution of no-recourse/limited recourse financing transactions and structuration of competitive finance solutions. The business flow will expose you to a wide variety of projects and enable you to grow in a dynamic and motivating environment.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
• take a leading role in structuring and negotiation of transactions, so strong knowledge of, and experience with, project finance structures and documentation are requirements.
• lead the execution process for new transactions. This will include managing a significant portion of the transaction process including due diligence, oversight of financial modelling, managing the internal approval process and syndication.
• contribute to the origination process by working closely with senior members of the team by participating in pitching activities across multiple industries.
• work closely with a team of junior professionals in the course of deal execution, acting as a coach to analysts through transaction work and providing them oversight on management of existing assets.

Your main tasks – Day-to-Day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• Origination and marketing phases: preparation of marketing materials, credentials, pitches, indicative term sheets, participation to client meetings with the management
• Reviewing critically due diligence materials (market, technical, insurance, legal, tax) and taking active role in the related Q&A sessions
• Financial modelling: analysing cash flow models and running sensitivities
• Structuration of the transaction: reviewing/negotiating term sheets and finance documents
• Managing all aspects of the credit process, including preparation of credit applications, risk assessment, internal rating and profitability tools
• Discussing with the relevant internal departments (hedging, ALM, ...) the main aspects of a transaction
• Taking an active role in the syndication process
• Portfolio management activities (waiver, amendments, internal reports, special credit requirements)
• General support as required within Project Finance, including support to the administrative functions (liaising with Middle/Back office teams)
• Tracking and monitoring the business unit’s results
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the key sectors, as well as current market conditions and financing trends
• Cross-sell other BCP financial services, including, but not limited to: derivatives, debt capital markets products and others
• Attend bank meetings, industry events, conferences, and seminars
• Delegating and reviewing the work of junior members of the team – provide guidance and feedback
• Performing other duties as required or assigned
• Ensuring compliance of all internal and external matters in accordance with banking regulations, bank policy and best practices

Academic Background & experience:
• Master of Science or Bac+5 in a related discipline, such as Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics
• At least 5-y experience in project finance, structured finance, infrastructure fund, transaction services and/or any other relevant experience
• Displays advanced deal execution and/or project management skills - ability to manage more than one client / major initiative
Technical, Operational & Soft skills:
• Intimate understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, cashflows and strong credit analysis skills
• MS Office knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint is mandatory due to modelling & Client Presentation activities
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, pressure orientated environment and deliver under tight deadlines
• Reliability, tenacity and being quality-oriented
• Ability to plan and schedule
Language skills:
• French
• English fluency - written and spoken (most of the documentation is in English)
• Other languages would be considered a plus
